1. If your ashamed of the Word of God your ashamed of Christ Also
2. If your offended by the Word of Truth your offended at God also
3. If the Preaching of Truth offends, then it's God you're offended at
Jonah was in the belly of the whale three (3) days because he was running away from God. Jonah didn't want to bear the weight of the message regarding Gods Righteous and Judgment upon the Great City of Nineveh. I don't believe Jonah wanted to take this message and be the one to deliver it. He probably worried about the consequences he probably even doubted his ability to deliver it in a way that God would be Glorified. Jonah found he couldn't run from the face of God and he eventually found himself in the chambers of the King of Nineveh. And to Jonahs great surprise that Great City from the Greatest to the least repented before God of their Sin and God had mercy and spared the people of that Great City.
I have no doubts anymore about God giving me this message, and he continues through the Word and his Spirit to add to the understanding of the message he has place in my care.
If God gives me a message, I'm going to share it with somebody one way or another no matter what the consequences be.
I will do my part as a Christian a servant of Christ, I will share the message with those that will listen and those that are of Gods fold shall here and see, and some will reject it, some will be humbled before the Lord and receive something from God in it.
That's all any of us that bear the Testimony of Christ can do, is bring Christ with us where ever we may go, and Hope that as the door closes behind us that some of those that receive the Witness of Christ, have invited Christ to stay with them that they may have the Seal and the Testimony of Christ also.
