RESTORATION to FAITH, HOPE and CHARITY
When we fail to come out on the battle field for missions and lost souls, what evil does this bring upon the supporters of missions and the work that God may be trying to do? I believe the book of Job reveals in many ways the instruction and warning to the Church in regard to showing mercy and love for the elderly widows, the orphans, the poor and the hungry. Jobs sickness and hurt and the accusers that judged him In a sense are a type of the world looking upon the church as being unwholesome and unfaithful somehow having failed to do what is right.
Job was a man blessed of God he ministered to the people of his community, in every way he trusted God completely there was no doubt in Job about how much God cared for him, and Job never blamed God for his predicaments when God withdrew his arm of protection from him that he may be tempted by Satan. Job lost his family, he lost his cattle, he lost his land, he lost his health, and in the end he LOST HIS REPUTATION and HIS GOOD NAME BECAME EVIL SPOKEN OF even by his wife, and his three friends who sat with him expected to hear Job's confession of guilt for why God had abandoned him there in seemingly a diseased condition!
Job 30:26
Job said' "When I looked for good then evil came unto me and when I waited for the light darkness came." No body pleaded for Job, nobody came to strengthen him or encourage his faith but rather waited for Job to confess some sin and die! The only ones that looked upon him even to visit were those who wondered why the curse had come upon him.
In Chapter 12 Job said," I am as one mocked by his neighbor who calls on God and the just upright man is laughed to scorn". In chapter 22 Eliphaz accuses Job of doing some evil or wrong that he questions if perhaps he had not honored a pledge, or he had failed to feed the hungry, or to help the widows or the fatherless.
All worldly people are carnal minded. These people naturally thought this man had done something wrong he must have sinned against God! For even God himself hath brought this evil against him! "What have you done to anger God Job!" they said.
Jobs witness for God and his proclamation of faith in God could not be heard anymore in their ears because their carnality could only behold the emptiness of a sick wretched man (Missions and Churches) that everyone had forsaken! They believed there had been some wrong that God had removed his honor and his glory from Jobs life!
When we fail to show support for the work of missions the end result is that the witness of Christ, the seeking Savior to the lost is judged, the mission becomes a lie, and the lost become more hardened to the word of the Lord and resist the Message of Truth more then at the first. If this happens then we have failed them and God!
Friends and Brethren, If Christ be in us? We are to show forth the love of God to unconverted families not be full of questions and strife and cross our arms and wait for somebody else to do the work that's before us all. For the broken promises are not just to the hurt of the ministry of hands, and the missions community, but it will also cast a shadow and a bring blight and a doubt upon the minds of the onlookers. This evil thing is a disgrace that should not be associated with the Name and Spirit of the Lord, or the message in which we make our profession of faith in hope and in love.
Thank God at the conclusion of Jobs days of trouble God restored him a double portion for his Faithfulness. That's what I hope for you friend, is that God will bless us all somehow to make up for our short comings among ourselves, and that a double portion of his love will be poured out upon all that know and need the Gift of God
Sometimes bad things happen to good people, like Joseph when he was sold out by his brothers. Friend, I'm sure we all have felt like Joseph at some point in our Christian experience?
I'll suggest that Joseph shed his share of tears when he thought about home and his Father and his brothers bitterness toward him, after they sold him into slavery. Joseph knew God and trusted him to do the right things in his life. That's what we have to do today. We have to trust that even if it might seem that some evil has come upon us, and maybe we can't see that path that's in front of us?
We must trust Christ and leave the driving to him. Christ's faithfulness and love always comes through when we hold on to his Righteousness, for there is no weapon formed against us by the enemy that shall prevail to overcome Christ in us!
He that is in us, that is Christ, is greater then he that is in the world. Bless, the Name of YahvahShua (Jesus). God Bless the Brethren and the Saints in the name of Jesus Christ, our YahvahShua
