LAWLESSNESS DEFINED
I must clarify my position here. When Lawlessness is mentioned here (it is not regarding the keeping of Moses Law or the temple ceremonies) but rather defiance of the perfect law of God that reflects his character and Righteousness which is both timeless and immutable.
There is the Ceremonial (for lack of a better term) law of Moses which is an example, shadow or pattern of the heavenly and there is the immutable Character and perfect law of God which has always been and does not change.
In the beginning man lived within the immutable boundaries and principles of God’s righteousness, (in the image or sinless character of God) then disobedience and Lawlessness (corruption and Evil) led to the fall in the garden. Unlike God, man is fallible, thus the fall was made possible through mans weakness, his curiosity toward the unknown and his desire for knowledge, power, companionship and that which is forbidden.
Satan found the weakness as he does even today and convinced Eve then Adam to trade obedience for sacrifice, Dominion for slavery, life for death, and communion with God for companionship with sin. Satan accomplished this through, what we will call here, "the Doctrine of Disobedience", the category of all sins. Satan is the father of all sin and disobedience. Therefore those that are not the first fruits of Jesus Christ , and over comers through his righteousness, are the fruits or offspring of the father of disobedience and their souls have been enslaved and marked by Satan.
Many nice people unknowingly fall into this category because they do not know Jesus Christ and have a real relationship with him. Jesus Christ is the restoration of all things the repairer of the breach, to those having the Spirit of adoption the spirit of Christ.
Lawlessness - Living outside of Gods Providence and in defiance of God's Righteous, immutable Principles and Character.
